Il ricordo del fratello Stefano a Gloria In questo periodo, da quando Gloria ci ha lasciato questo vuoto immenso, …aldilà della sofferenza, il mio pensiero, davvero, è di avere avuto la fortuna di avercela avuta ‘Gloria’… mi ripeto e sono convinto che grazie a lei oggi penso di essere una persona migliore… E questo penso che valga per tutto quello dove Gloria è stata presente, dalla famiglia, agli amici, alla sua professione… Un insegnamento continuo, con il suo attaccamento alla vita, sempre positivo…sempre solare, sempre con le parole giuste, in tutte le occasioni, sempre attenta, principalmente a tutti gli aspetti che caratterizzano i rapporti con le persone…onesta, leale, coerente, altruista e disponibile sempre con tutti. Così anche nella malattia, a 18 anni la prima grave malattia, poi il convivere con tutte le problematiche che questa gli aveva lasciato, poi l’intervento al cuore fino all’ultimo periodo,... a partire dalla diagnosi, terribile che non lasciava scampo, ma oltre a non arrendersi mai, ha sempre vissuto questo con una apparente incredibile normalità…. Mai la disperazione, mai un lamento vero e se lo faceva…lo faceva sempre con ironia. Lei alla malattia non la dava vinta e faceva di tutto per ‘Vivere’ ogni momento del tempo che gli restava… che fosse lavoro o una cena con gli amici Da un punto di vista professionale, pur non essendo in grado di giudicare il suo lavoro,… penso comunque di essere testimone della passione che ci ha sempre messo, fin dall’inizio negli asili di Empoli e poi la caparbietà, nonostante le difficoltà, con la quale si è rimessa a studiare, si è laureata e poi fino alla crescita nel percorso fatto nel Comune di San Miniato.. Spesso negli ultimi tempi gli chiedevo di rallentare, di valutare dei cambiamenti per il lavoro, che secondo me l’affaticava troppo… ma per lei era troppo importante, amava la sua professione, amava quello che faceva, amava il suo lavoro e ha sempre dato tutto fino alla fine… Ringrazio il Sindaco, tutto il Consiglio Comunale, l’amico e promotore dell’iniziativa e Presidente della Bottega Aldo Fortunati… Credo veramente che quello che è stato fatto oggi, intitolando la bottega a Gloria, sia il giusto riconoscimento per quello che GLORIA è stata, per quello che ha fatto...ma anche per quello che farà, perché sono convinto che anche nel lavoro, con l’esperienza di chi ha lavorato con lei e con quello che sicuramente è riuscita a trasmettere, porterà nel futuro forza vitale per continuare un percorso importante e di crescita per ‘La Bottega’ che da oggi porterà il suo nome. Grazie Stefano In this period, since when Gloria has left us this incredible void, … beyond pain, my though is really about the fact I have been so lucky to had 'Gloria'...I remind myself and I strongly believe that, thanks to her, I am a better person now....and I thing this is true for everywhere and everything Gloria has been in, starting from family and going to friends, her job, … Her attachment to life has represented a continuous learning, always with a positive attitude...always radiant, always with the proper words in every occasion, always careful mainly towards the aspects related to relationship with people...honest, truthful, coherent, generous and helpful with everybody. This has been true also toward the illness; at the age of 18, the first heavy illness, then the living side by side with all the effect of it then the cardiac surgery and in the end the last period ...starting from the terrible diagnosis that did not leave any bright light; but instead of giving up she has always lived all this with an apparent and incredible normality... She never showed desperation, never a real lament and if it happened...it was always ironically. She has never given up in front of of the illness and she has always managed to 'Live' every instant of the time was remaining ….both in the case of her job and in the case of a dinner with friends From a professional point of view, even if I am not competent in judging her job, ...I think I have been a witness of the passion that always accompanied her, from the beginning in Empoli's ECEC services to the stubborness – also against difficulties – she demonstrated when she started back to study to get the University degree and then to the growing path she has made in the Municipality of San Miniato... Very often, during the last period, I asked her to slow down, to think about some changes in her job that in my opinion was tiring her too much...but for her it was too important, she loved her profession, she loved what she was doing, she loved her job and she gave all that she could until the very last moment... I want to than the Mayor, all the City Council, Aldo Fortunati who is a friend and the promoter of this event and President of La Bottega di Geppetto... I really think that what has been done today – entitling La Bottega di Geppetto to Gloria – can represent the proper recognition to what GLORIA has been and to what she has given...but also for what she will do, because I am sure that also in the job, through the experience of those who have worked with her and through what she certainly has passed down, she will bring vital force in the future to continue an important path for La Bottega that since today will have also her name.
